Every individual’s experience and symptoms related to trauma is different; therefore, a clinician will work with the client to develop an individualized treatment plan to best meet their specific needs and goals.
Through the development of a treatment plan, the clinician and the client can use one or more therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Art Therapy, or mindfulness-based approaches. The client will learn how to process the symptoms of the trauma and then learn effective strategies to cope and reduce symptoms.
