Sumi is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. She is dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges through a compassionate, understanding, and person-centered approach. Sumi holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition and a master’s in Counselling Psychology. Sumi will be starting EMDR basic training in Spring 2025.
Sumi’s area of focus includes working with clients that need help regulating their emotions, guidance on life and career transitions, general mental health concerns, trauma, and those experiencing anxiety or depression. Given her dietetics and nutrition background, Sumi also works with individuals and families impacted by eating disorders.
She provides individual therapy to teenagers and adults, as well as couples counselling.
