Trauma treatment with or without a diagnosis.
When we experience trauma, assumptions about ourselves, others, and the world around us come crashing down. Often, we get stuck in survival mode and have difficulty accessing a sense of safety and calm. We experience symptoms like intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, and nightmares and, on the other hand, can also have periods of numbness, disconnection, and depression. We may intentionally or unintentionally avoid our feelings with unhelpful coping strategies or substance use. Sometimes, it becomes difficult to access positive feelings.
At Wholetherapy, we are educated and skilled in treating both simple and complex PTSD. Whether or not you have been diagnosed or meet the criteria for PTSD, we are interested in working with you to heal the wounds from past trauma that are causing present-day pain.
