Why Seek Therapy?

Everyone deserves therapy that feels safe, validating, and aligned with their identity. Affirming therapy provides a grounded place to process these experiences with support that honours your whole self.

You may benefit from therapy if you’re:

Exploring your gender or sexual identity.
Experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression related to minority stress.
Navigating coming out, family conflict, or relationship changes.
Recovering from trauma, rejection, or discrimination.
Coping with significant life transitions (such as career changes, relocation, or starting a family).
Dealing with grief and loss that impacts your emotional well-being.

Who We Help

Every LGBTQIA+ story is unique. Our therapy honours your pace, identity, culture, and personal journey, offering both emotional safety and space for self-discovery.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming Counseling

Identity-affirming support for queer, trans, and non-binary clients navigating life transitions, relationships, identity, or stressors.

Support for Relationships, Identity & Family

Therapy for navigating chosen family, partnerships, coming out experiences, or complex family dynamics.

Individual Therapy

Personalized care for anxiety, depression, trauma, and internalized stigma, with a focus on strengthening self-worth and resilience.

Culturally Responsive, Evidence-Based Care

Our clinicians use evidence-based, identity-affirming approaches that integrate emotional processing, nervous system support, and cultural humility.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR is grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, which proposes that psychological distress arises when traumatic or overwhelming experiences are inadequately processed and stored in memory networks. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps, or tones) within a structured eight-phase protocol to help the brain integrate these memories in a more adaptive way.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS proposes that psychological distress arises when protective or wounded parts of the personality take on extreme roles in response to trauma or attachment injury. Therapy focuses on helping clients access the Self—a core state characterized by calm, curiosity, compassion, and clarity—to build trusting relationships with these parts and support their healing.

Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

EFIT helps individuals explore how early attachment experiences shape current emotions and relationships, fostering greater self-understanding and emotional balance.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a brief, trauma-focused psychotherapy that uses eye movements and imagery techniques to help individuals resolve distressing memories and symptoms without prolonged exposure or detailed verbal processing.

We’re a Safe Space
